Puliogare  & Amla pickle

1. Both the products do not have any chemical or Preservatives added ( other than oil and salt)
2. Please note that puliogare paste and amla pickle are best used within 15 days.
3. Please keep them in the refrigerator for it to remain fresh.
4. Use a clean and dry spoon when serving it, or taking a portion for use.


All the Powders

1. It can be stored as it is in the packet or in bottles if you like.
2. They do not need refrigeration.
3. They need to be kept in a cool and dry place (not under direct sunlight).
4. Ensure to use absolutely dry spoons to use the Powders. Any moisture can cause all products to go bad.

 

Expert Recipes

Sambar Powder

Ingredients: Dhaniya, Red chillies, Methi, Chana dal 
Best Before: 6 months of packaging
Recipe for making delicious sambar
  • Pressure cook 100 gms Tur dal.
  • Soak 15 gms tamarind for 10 mins.
  • In a pan, take 1 tbsp oil and add 1 tsp mustard seeds, a pinch of asafoetida, a pinch of turmeric powder, curry leaves.
  • After the mustard splutters, add veggies of your choice (eg. Onion, capsicum, red pumpkin, brinjal, drumstick, lady finger).
  • Fry the veggies and all tamarind pulp and water and allow the veggies to cook.
  • Once veggies are cooked, add 2-3 tsp sambar powder and salt to taste.
  • Lastly add the cooked tur dal and allow it to boil.

Idly Dosa Chutney Powder

Ingredients: Urad dal, Red chillies, Til, Chana dal, Hing, Jaggery, Salt
Best Before: 6 months of packaging
How to use? 
  • Can be mixed with any oil of your choice OR with ghee OR with curd
  • Can be eaten with Idli, Dosa, Adai (dal dosa) or can be mixed with Rice and Ghee

Puliogare Paste (Tamarind Rice Paste)

Ingredients: Tamarind, Salt, Pepper, Chana dal, Til, Jaggery, Groundnut, Curry leaves, Red chillies  
Best Before : 14 days of packaging
How to use?
  • Take a bowl of hot rice
  • In a pan add 2 tsp oil, add Gharsey's puliogare paste, 2 tsp and add the rice. 
  • Mix and enjoy hot Tamarind Rice 
Store in the refrigerator to preserve the taste and flavour

 

Curry Leaf Powder

Ingredients: Curry Leaves, Salt, Pepper, Urad dal                 
Best Before: 6 months of packaging
How to use? 
  • Take a bowl of hot rice
  • Add 1 tsp ghee and 1 to 2 tsp Gharsey's curry leaf powder
  • Mix and enjoy Hot Curry Leaf rice. 

Can be given to toddlers and children. Very healthy for them


Adai Mix (Lentil Dosa Mix)

Ingredients: Chana dal, Tur dal, Urad dal, Rice, Red chillies, Hing, Salt, Curry leaves 
Best Before: 6 months of packaging
How to use?
  • Take all the Adai mix powder
  • Add 2 -3 cups water to make it to a dosa batter consistency. 
  • Allow it to soak for 1/2 an hour.
  • After it is soaked, check for consistency and add water if needed. 
  • Make hot dosas and have with Gharsey's Idly Dosa Chutney Powder and Jaggery
A very healthy way to start the day

Rasam - South Indian ishtyle

  • Take 3 cups of water
  • 1 small spoon tamarind paste (soak tamarind and take the paste out)
  • Add one tomato finely chopped
  • 1 green chilly slit,1/4 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt, 4 pods garlic (optional)
  • Allow this to boil for 15 mins until the tomato has cooked in the water.
  • Add 1/4 cup cooked and mashed tur dal (optional again) - tastes better with dal
  • Add 2 tsp hharsey’s rasam powder
  • Allow it to boil until a layer of froth comes on top
  • Turn off the flame
  • In a separate kadai - heat 1 tbsp ghee, add 1/2 tsp rai and 1/2 tsp jeera a few curry leaves, 1 red chilly and allow to splutter.
  • Add this to the rasam and mix. Garnish with lot of coriander.

Your delicious Rasam is ready ...

You can have it with hot rice and ghee or just as an appetising drink!
